DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL(DSP) Qualifications


Needed: employees that are caring, courteous, honest, professional, perceptive, detail oriented, & have initiative

No experience necessary-great job for flexibility – can be seasonal, P/T, on call.

Work with developmentally disabled adults in group-home setting as a role model & advocate – great way to get experience for the medical field.

Assist them with meal preparation, community activities, laundry, & hygiene care.

Various locations are available throughout Cuyahoga County.

Multiple openings (Full-time & part-time), all shifts, paid classroom & on the job training provided, EOE, DFWP.

Qualifications: Must be 18 or older, HS diploma or GED required, must pass background check and drug screen before hire, Position reports to house manager.

Starting salary: $8.50/hour

Must be able to work a flexible schedule.


DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) SUPERVISOR Qualifications 


Minimum Requirements:

1-year experience working in the field of Developmental Disabilities

Must be qualified to be a company driver

Supervisory experience preferred

Main Responsibilities will include:

Creation of client individual program plans

Supervising staff and providing positive mentoring

Participation in ISP meeting

Staff training

Monitoring documentation

Providing direct care and active treatment services

Conducting fire/severe weather drills

On-call responsibilities/ability to work a flexible schedule

Completing other duties as assigned

 


 Day Program Manager 


 Minimum Requirements:

B.A. or B.S. in a related field

1 years supervisory experience preferred

Familiarity with ISP and concepts of Supported Routines 

Valid Ohio drivers license and eligibility to be a company driver

Eligibility for medication administration certification

Basic computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office and Excel

 Main Responsibilities will include: 

Overseeing day to day logistics of the day program

Providing guidance, mentoring and supervision to staff members

Scheduling staff and turning in weekly payroll

Coordinating all aspects of the ISP services to ensure quality services

Providing supportive service and active treatment for individuals

Coordinating and developing community resources

Creating an environment that fostered supported routines for individuals with developmental disabilities 

The ideal candidate mist be able to demonstrate communication and organizational skills and promote teamwork in the workplace.


  ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR ICF Homes Qualifications


 The ideal candidate must be able to: 

Work  primarily on second shift and weekends (Tuesday through Saturday)

Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills

Promote teamwork in the workplace

Minimum Requirements:

3 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities

Valid Ohio drivers license and eligibility to be a company driver

Eligibility for medication administration certification

 Main Responsibilities will include: 

Leading, guiding, and directing activities, both in-house and in the community

Serving as a role model by demonstrating a Supported Routines approach

Developing goal oriented activity programming for individuals and groups

Overseeing and scheduling transportation for community based activities

Coordinating and developing community resources

Maintaining an inventory of activity supplies

Participating in ISP meetings as requested  


RN Supervisor (2 Positions)


 Position Description: 

This is an on-call position for telephone triaging to unlicensed personnel or LPN’s during non-working hours.

Ensures Medicaid and Licensure Regulations are followed for nursing care.

Must be eligible (18 months as a RN) to become a DODD RN Trainer.

Candidates should have strong communication, clinical and computer skills.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

Supervision per organizations policy.

Directly supervises LPN’s/RN’s and provides functional supervision to direct support professional as needed.

Filling staff vacancies in the nursing department.

Responsible for evaluation, commendations, and disciplinary actions involving the nursing department
